Rugby
Our U/13 rugby coach has provincial rugby coaching experience!
At Gill Primary School we pride ourselves in our rugby teams. The physical and social development that our children learn are so important for their everyday growth. Rugby assists children with confidence and in making friends all over the country.
Land Service
Our land service teacher is currently the vice chairperson for Land Service Eastern Cape.
Land Service is an environmentally orientated youth movement which is accessible to grades 4-7 at Gill Primary School. We strive to improve the loves for, as well as the protection of the environment and natural resources.
Our activities originate from the four pillars of Land Service: Love for our Creator, Love for your Neighbor, Love for labour and Love for the Environment.
Depending on environment and criteria, Land Service is also award based.
'Facta non verba'- Deeds not words.
Netball
Our U/12 coach played center and represented SA in Abu Dhabi in 2019. She has also coached teams in Bloemfontein taking them all the way to the finals in the Free State cup.
Netball is a crucial part of a girls primary education, it teaches them team work, to understand skills and concepts and multi-tasking. At Gill Primary School we love watching our girls grow each year, getting better and better as they train every week.
Swimming
We have a swimming pool with 2 teachers trained in their coaching Level 1.
Swimming is a non-contact sport that develops the whole body as a unit. It develops muscles tone, balance and strengthens from head to toe.
